When Pigs Fly...

Flying PigIn early spring, after the snow melted, we began work to remake our small but spirited front garden, along the road winding through our beautiful artisan district. We knew just who to call, our long-time friend David Jessup, a landscape designer formerly based in San Francisco, now living in the Rockies in Nederland, Colorado. David came to Arroyo Seco, and in between some sightseeing, helped plan our new garden. With help from a few willing volunteers, David and Tom installed a gorgeous new landscaped walkway and garden beds for our customers to enjoy.

The garden features globe blue spruce, Northern blue spruce, spideria, larkspur, sedum and more, plus an eye-catching arrangement of natural, decorative stone. The garden makes a great home for some of our folk-art animals and garden art. It continues to draw rave reviews from locals and visitors.

Firenza Gallery also is an exclusive Northern New Mexico dealer of David Jessup’s Green Collar Guy mix-cast garden pots and planters. Look for new works by David, and new additions to the Firenza garden soon!

Ridin' in Style in a '66 Ford

Firenza Gallery now rolls in style with our 1966 Ford F100 custom cab pickup. It sports a two-tone turquoise and cream paint job, and the gallery logo painted by local artist David Schroeder. Under the hood sits an original 351 engine. It takes a kick now and then to get her started but she still runs strong.

The truck was loaded with grandkids for its debut June 6 at the Taos Hippie Dippie Parade.
